Simple Bee is a small, locally owned, husband-and-wife business built around one simple idea: caring for your home as we would our own.
We both grew up in the Berkshires, have been together for 20 years, and are raising our two children here. We love the outdoors, our community, and the place we call home.
Tricia founded Simple Bee in 2020 after years of professional cleaning experience, and Marcus joined in 2021 after more than 10 years as a carpenter. His hands-on experience naturally expanded our services into property care, maintenance, and management.
We complement each other both personally and professionally. We each bring different strengths, experience, and perspectives to the business, and work well together as a team. From organization, cleaning, and home care to carpentry, maintenance, property management, and problem solving, our combined skill set allows us to provide a more complete level of care.
As a small company, our clients work directly with us. We know the properties we care for, pay attention to the details, communicate openly, and pride ourselves on being responsive, reliable, and trustworthy.
MEET TRICIA
Tricia founded Simple Bee in 2020 after years of professional cleaning and home care experience. She also brings decades of experience in administrative roles, project management, estimating, organization, and client communication, giving her a strong foundation in planning, coordination, problem solving, and attention to detail.
Outside of Simple Bee, Tricia manages another business focused on energetic healing, coaching, and intuitive guidance, where she helps others create meaningful change and move toward greater alignment in their lives. She is also a certified Pilates instructor, combining her passion for movement, wellness, and helping people feel more connected to themselves.
Across all of her work, helping others is at the heart of what Tricia does. Whether she is caring for a home, coordinating the details of a property, supporting a client, or teaching movement, she brings the same genuine care, presence, and desire to make a positive difference.
At Simple Bee, Tricia’s organizational and people-focused strengths complement Marcus’s hands-on skills, creating a well-rounded team capable of managing both the practical details and personal relationships involved in caring for a property.
Outside of work, Tricia enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the Berkshires and beyond, hiking, being outdoors, and catching live music.
Her approach is simple: communicate clearly, stay organized, pay attention to the details, and genuinely care about the people and homes entrusted to her.
MEET MARCUS
Marcus joined Simple Bee in 2021 after more than 10 years as a carpenter, bringing extensive hands-on experience in carpentry and five years of experience as a maintenance technician. This combination of skills gives him a practical understanding of homes, property maintenance, repairs, and the many unexpected issues that can arise when caring for a property.
Marcus and Tricia have also taken on major renovation projects of their own, including fully renovating their home while Tricia was pregnant with their first child. From the hands-on construction and repairs to coordinating the many details involved in transforming a home, the experience gave Marcus even more perspective on the work, planning, and care that goes into maintaining a property.
In 2023, Marcus began working in property management, eventually transitioning his role entirely to property and short-term rental management in 2025.
Today, he oversees property inspections, maintenance, contractors and service providers, emergency response, seasonal property needs, and short-term rental operations. His carpentry background also allows him to handle a wide range of handyman services, home maintenance, and carpentry projects in addition to coordinating larger repairs and specialized contractors.
From small repairs and installations to more involved carpentry projects, having that hands-on experience in-house allows Simple Bee to address many property needs directly and identify potential problems before they become bigger ones.
Marcus enjoys working with his hands, being outdoors, and finding practical solutions to problems. His goal is to make sure the properties entrusted to Simple Bee are well cared for, maintained, and ready whenever their owners or guests need them.
